Aircraft Engine Warmers

In less than a minute, a single cold start without proper preheating can produce more wear on your piston aircraft engine than 500 hours of normal cruise operation. If it's cold enough, a single cold start can cause the catastrophic destruction of an engine shortly after takeoff.

As a general rule any start in which the engine is cold-soaked to a temperature below freezing (32°F or 0°C) is a "cold start," and any start below about 20°F (-7°C) is nothing short of a capital offense against your powerplant. The colder the temperature, the worse the crime.

Heat Authority aircraft engine & automotive heat blankets keep your equipment working all winter long.  Avoid cold start wear & tear. Heat engines, batteries, hoses, oil, fluids and parts.  Powerblanket is your all-in-one cold weather solution.

The bottom line is that, when the mercury drops, preheating can have a huge impact on the longevity of your aircraft.  At a minimum, try to get the entire engine above 40 degrees Fahrenheit to provide the best environment for your engine’s long-term health. And, if you have an option to get some heat into the cabin to warm the avionics and gyros before they spool up, even better. As always FREE UPS SHIPPING.
